Meet Your Vice Chair Jordyn Gleaton!

Image
Hello everyone! My name is Jordyn Gleaton and I’m incredibly excited to be your vice chair for BMUN 71's Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). I am a third year at the University of California, Berkeley studying Political Science and Legal Studies with a minor in Human Rights Interdisciplinary. My academic interests include restorative justice, student rights, social movements and politics.  In my free time, I enjoy exploring the city, thrifting, running, listening to music and spending time with my family and friends. While this may be my first year in BMUN and MUN overall, I am very excited to see what this year brings— especially as a part of such a thoughtful and important committee. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns! I look forward to meeting you all very soon! Best, Jordyn :)

Meet Your Head Chair Robert Gan!

Hello everyone! My name is Robert Gan, I use he/him pronouns, and I have the pleasure of being your head chair for SNCC! I’m a second-year studying Political science and minoring in Public Policy and Data Science. I’m really fascinated with politics as both a source and product of history, philosophy, problem-solving, and human behavior. I’ve been in BMUN for two years now, and in that time I’ve had the pleasure of growing closer with this club’s community and expanding my appreciation for this activity. Outside of Model UN, I enjoy following the NBA, drawing, music, and spending time with friends and family. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at our committee email: snccbmunlxxi@bmun.org . I look forward to seeing you in committee! Best, Robert Gan

Meet Your Vice Chair Milana Tatarintseva!

Hello!  My name is Milana Tatarintseva and I'll be one your vice chairs for BMUN 71's SNCC. I'm a senior majoring in Computer Science and minoring in BioEngineering. After graduating I hope to work in the intersection of technology and medicine, particularly in improving cancer treatment. This is my fourth and final year in BMUN, so this conference will be a little bittersweet for me. I'm honored to be part of such an important and thought-provoking committee, especially since crisis committees bring out some of the best innovation and collaboration (and they're my fave :) In my free time, I enjoy exploring coffee shops and bakeries around the Bay, playing tennis, and arguing over board games with friends. Over the past few years in Berkeley, I've also fallen in love with the beautiful scenery and try to spend time outside, whether on hikes in the hills or just walking around campus. I hope you learn something new as you prepare for committee and come ready for ...

Meet Your Vice Chair Amber Chen!

Hello Everyone!! My name is Amber Chen and I'm honored to be your vice chair for BMUN 71's Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.  I'm currently a second year here at Cal, studying Sociology and Ethnic Studies. My academic interests include survivance in ethnic communities, contemporary social movements, and intersections of sexuality, gender, and race under capitalism but I'm always intrigued with anything social science! My friends can attest to how willing I am to talk about it all so don't be afraid to ask any questions or start a conversation with me. I serve as Human Resources for BMUN, ensuring the social, physical, and emotional health of our Secretariat. You may have also seen me at Fall Conference II, where I was head chair for the Salem Witch Trials. It was my first time ever head chairing and it was so fun so I hope SNCC makes you all feel the same. This is only my second year in BMUN (and all of MUN for that matter) but I'm excited to see what ...
